Guidelines to fix Canon error e32

Did you experience the Canon camera error e32 while using it and an error message like the following?

"A camera error was detected will shut down automatically. Restart camera. E32."

The error is encountered when you are using the Canon digital camera and then suddenly it turns pitch black while on the left hand side you would find the canon e32 error code displayed. And after a few seconds the camera turns off automatically. Due to this Canon camera users face problems with their camera.

The most common reason for the occurrence of the canon camera error e32 is that the lens of the camera gets stuck in the barrel. To fix the issue you can follow the steps given below but if you are not sure or do not have sufficient expertise then it is advisable that you go to a professional to get the camera mended. The steps are given as under:

  1. Connect the AC adapter or the USB cable
  2. Switch the camera on while holding the shutter button.
  3. Take a look at the lens of the camera. If the lens circles are not concentric or not aligned properly then twist it a little bit while you hold the camera lens down.
  4. Push or pull the lens a little bit as it extends.
  5. Place the camera lens on a hard surface and power it up. Use a soft cloth or tissue and then hit the camera near the lens with the tissue on your palm of your hand.

However, there are some who would recommend reformatting the memory card as the error is the result of a memory card error. To do this, you need to go to the Menu screen, then to the Tools option, then select Format and then format the memory card. This may sound quite easy but formatting the memory card would also remove all the images from the card. In such a situation you need to use an efficient and reliable third party Photo recovery software that can recover the entire data stored on the memory card without the loss of any.
